Set for July 11th, 2025, the inaugural edition of Voices That Rock Zim Awards will be a landmark event, recognizing defining Zimbabwean voices across multiple disciplines.
Running under the theme "Because Hearing is Believing - Speak Word into Life," the awards are the brainchild of veteran radio personality Richard Kohola. They have been created with the aim of highlighting the integral role vocal talents play in shaping narratives, influencing consumer behaviour, and enriching entertainment.
Nominations are set to be solicited through an open call across media platforms, inviting submissions for the various categories. This will be followed by a an adjudication process, led by a selected panel of relevant experts.

•Radio Excellence: Best Male and Female Voice (News, Show Hosts)
•Live Events: Best Male and Female MC
•Digital Influence: Best Male and Female Social Media Influencer
•Television Mastery: Best Male and Female Voice
•Corporate Communication: Best Male and Female Voice
•Creative Arts: Best Voice Actor, Best Scriptwriter, Copywriter
•The World of Sports: Best Male and Female Voice Commentator
•Innovative Categories: Lifetime Achievement, Humanitarian Voice
•Local Languages Excellence: Best Male and Best Female
•Sound Production: Best Male and Female Sound Engineer
•Technical Skill: Best Promo/Sting/Sweeper
•Voices That Rock Religion
•Voices That Rock Comedy
•Zim International Voice
The Hall of Fame will honour 15 iconic voices, celebrating their lasting impact on Zimbabwean storytelling, culture and heritage.
The organisers are calling on the public to join in the celebration of vocal talents that have helped shape the entertainment, arts, religious and advertising landscape.
