Easy To Love: Frya's plea for the practicing of compassionship

It is often accepted that we're all imperfect beings. The things about us that set someone's heart a flutter, come with certain rough edges that bruise more than egos. This is the sentiment at the heart of songbird Frya's latest release, "Easy To Love." A sad love song, that asks us to work on ourselves.

The genre bending track blends together amapiano, soul and Afrobeats, with sultry vocals and emotive lyrics, giving it a subtle nature on the ear.

Frya sounds heartfelt, and sings in a way that speaks to heartbreak and hope in equal parts. There's a certain beauty to the simplicity with which "Easy To Love" comes off as a story. A message of do better pierces through the sheen of a seeming incompatibility. Practicing the art of love and being loved.

The single is a reflection of Frya's diverse soundscape. The Zimbabwean singer-songwriter has been crafting a genre-bending sound through her nomadic lifestyle. Her debut album, Balance and to the EP Series Lifetimes and Lifetimes (Deluxe) have not only displayed her versatility but musical growth.

Named after the Nordic goddess Freya, the singer's career was launched after posting a cover of an Adele song on Instagram when the Executive Producer for the SABC-1 show titled 'Side Dish' reached out and asked her to write and record the title track for the show. This was followed by the release of her debut EP Dots.

"Easy To Love" is available across all major streaming platforms.
