The British Council's Creative Economy Week will be returning for it's second edition in Zimbabwe this week, with events running in both Harare & Bulawayo. This year's event is underpinned by the theme "Growth ReImagined," emphasising the role of people and their creative potential in driving sustainable growth. As always, the event will be driven by the showcase of the power creative industries have in building resilient economies and thriving communities.
The programme feature thought-provoking discussions, masterclasses, and think tanks designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and industry growth. Along with live music and fashion showcases, displaying some of the country's incredible homegrown talent.
Among the facilitators for this year's event will be: South Africa based talented Zimbabwean music producer Mr Kamera, renowned Zimbabwean multidisciplinary creative Lin Barrie, Ditto’s Regional Manager for Africa Wendy Verwey Bekker, IP Associate Jabulani Kwaramba of Honey and Blanckenberg, and Kefiloe Molefe, and Kgotso Masithela from Sheer Publishing Africa.
Harare will host 5 days of events during the week, while Bulawayo will have events on the 5th and 7th of March.
