Sung in both English and Shona, "Ndimi Mwari" has heartfelt lyricism which goes beyond language barriers, making the song a universal anthem of connection. Produced by Nyasha Timbe, the track has identifiable Zimdancehall influences that add vibrancy to the song without overshadowing the vocals.

"Ndimi Mwari" exults God and emphasizes the importance of trusting in him regardless of the circumstances.

The singer says she came up with the song before she made "Ndichatarisa," the Afro-pop anthem she released in September last year that quickly became a radio hit. "Ndimi Mwari" has a similar sound to the 2023 release, and it has songwriting credits from Baba Harare, the Jiti star turned gospel musician.

The track was released with visuals directed by Cozy Scott, that offer up a somber visualisation of the song's moving lyrics. With Gemma Griffiths as the only onscreen talent, the video is solemn in nature, which adds to the depth of the song.

The single is available across all major streaming platforms.
