The Zimbabwe musician will release the follow-up to his 2022 debut Life of Muvhimi
Voltz JT has officially entered album rollout mode following announcing his highly anticipated second album 'N.O.P Makoni,' three weeks ago. Voltz JT's latest album to be released on 27 August 2024 will culminate with tracks crafted in collaboration with producer Nyasha Timbe with whom Voltz JT first collaborated on Baba Harare's hit 'Prove Them Wrong.' Since then, they have produced several singles together, many of which have been accompanied by visually compelling music videos directed by Blu Mordecai of 99Orange, including 'Mkoma Brian,' 'Ma War Vets,' and 'Kutidzorera Mashure.'

After analyzing the verses of his last three releases, one might speculate that 'N.O.P Makoni' marks a shift in Voltz JT's musical direction. Moving away from the Drill-infused party anthems that cemented his status in ZimHipHop with tracks like 'These Days' and 'Nyaya Dzemari,' Voltz JT appears to be embracing more homegrown beats, layered with socially conscious lyrics addressing pressing issues such as drug abuse and unemployment among Zimbabwean youth.
