Bhekiwe tells the story of a turbulent love with "I Can't Stay"

Bulawayo's Afro pop princess, Bhekiwe, is breaking off her sabbatical with a return to releasing music. The talented singer's first single of 2024 is a track titled "I Can't Stay." The song explores the turbulent emotions of being in love and the end result of having to part ways. It subtly merges the sounds of rnb and Afro pop.

"I Can't Stay" has an easy tempo, paired with soulful vocals and simple yet emotive lyricism that gives it earworm potential.

My new single 'I Can’t Stay' is my first release of the year and it’s actually a song I wrote a while ago. It kept playing in my head even though I wrote and worked on other music so I took that as a sign to release it. It was produced by Dakudu, a talented artist and producer from Bulawayo. - Bhekiwe

Although having started singing as far back as pre-school, Bhekiwe made her musical debut in 2019 with the release of "Secret Feeling." Since then the singer has had multiple releases and collaborated with artists such as Fuse, Msiz'kay, Indigo Saint, and Asaph, along with earning multiple award nominations.
