After voicing Cheetor on the blockbuster film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts last year, Tongayi Chirisa has gained yet another high profile voicing role. The actor is going to voice the character of the man often referred to as the first black samurai in ubisoft's forthcoming game Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is the14th major installment in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2023's Assassin's Creed Mirage, as well as the first title to be included in the Assassin's Creed: Infinity platform. Set in 16th-century Japan towards the end of the Sengoku period, the game will focus on the millenia-old struggle of the Assassin Brotherhood, who fight for peace and liberty, and the Templar Order, who desire peace through control, from the perspective of two protagonists: Naoe, a female shinobi, and Yasuke, an African samurai based on the historical figure of the same name.
Tongayi Chirisa's recent roles include: Ciprien in Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, Medgar Evers on Women of the Movement, and Richard Ncube on Another Life. The actor has also recently featured on the films Next Exit, The Anthrax Attacks and Trees of Peace.
