JoyRukanza is headed for this year's Canadian Music Week! The multi-genre singer and songwriter announced the news this week via social media. This comes after the international music festival released it's list of the first wave of performers.
Now in its 42nd year, the Canadian Music Week Festival is the premier annual showcasing event in Canada. Over the years, it has featured some of the top headliners in the business alongside thousands of rising new artists, including: Post Malone, Marshmellow, Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, Janet Jackson, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Janelle Monae, and Travi$ Scott among others.
This year the festival will be running from June 1 to June 8 in the city of Toronto. JoyRukanza will be joining over a 100 other acts from across the globe.

JoyRukanza released her debut album MatterMoreForSis in 2023. The long awaited project had a multitude of positive reviews and it earned the artist a nomination for Best Alternative at the 2023 Zimhiphop Awards and the Outstanding Female Artist Award at the 2023 Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards.
