Asaph Afrika has just dropped Lord If You Bless Me featuring Saintfloew. The song comes as a surprise to fans who have joined Asaph's birthday celebrations today 11 January 2024.
Lord If You Bless Me is highlighted to be a 2023 project which however could not make the flight. Both artists have in memory twists and turns last year. Asaph unceremoniously cut ties with Def Jam Africa while Saintfloew tightened his with Nash TV with the label seeing through his 'rehabilitation'.
Asaph announced his departure from the Iconic Def Jam Africa record label in November 2023, when he simply replied to a Twitter user "I'm not on the Label anymore, bro." This was followed by a subsequent name rebrand to Asaph Afrika in December to what others speculated could be related to his Def Jam contracts. While on Def Jam, Asaph only released one EP, Big Mhofu with Thebelele as the lead single.
The turbulent terrains survived by the artists could have sent this collaboration to the gutters. It was only right that the artists agree to a prayer intercession in which Saintfloew's hook elevates Asaph's heartfelt compassion for his people.
Lord If You Bless Me was produced by Jamal of No Limits and is now available on digital platforms. Use the link below to listen to the song and hit us in the dialogue box with your comments!
