Educational activist Vee Kativhu was recently named on the BBC's 100 Women List. Kativhu was listed among such names as the former US First Lady Michelle Obama, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, Ballon d'Or-winning footballer Aitana BonmatÃ, AI expert Timnit Gebru, feminist icon Gloria Steinem, Hollywood star America Ferrera and beauty mogul Huda Kattan.

The BBC's 100 Women list names 100 of the most inspiring and influential women from around the world. It is part of a BBC multi-format series established in 2013. The annual series examines the role of women in the 21st century. The announcement of the list is the start of an international "BBC's women's season", lasting three weeks including broadcast, online reports, debates and journalism on the topic of women.
Varaidzo "Vee" Kativhu is a recent graduate of both Oxford and Harvard Universities. She has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to diversity and empowerment, receiving accolades such as the Diana Award Legacy Award from Princes Harry and William, the United Kingdom Rare Rising Star award from Members of the UK Parliament, and the Diversity Champion award from Oxford’s Vice-Chancellor.
Kativhu is also a Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals selected by the United Nations for the 2022-2024 period. In June this year, Kativhu (a former Diana Award winner herself) co-hosted the 2023 Diana Awards with Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education Leadership and hopes to continue working alongside other changemakers to address the pressing issue of the 130 million girls who are currently out of school.
