The 8th edition of Changamire Festival Awards 2023 was held on the 12th of April at Long Cheng Plaza in Harare. Changamire Festival Awards director, Jackson Muchechetere popularly known as Zimboy confirmed the list of nominees with 30 categories.
Holy Ten leads the way with a record-setting 14 nominations. He walked away with 5 Awards for Best Male, Best Hip Hop Verse (Fire Emoji Verse), Best Collaboration (Pressure featuring Mr. Candy & Micheal Mags, Song of the Year (Fire Emoji Hip Hop Allstar) & Best Alternative Song ( Loss by Nick Genius x Holy Ten).
Kikkybadass was a close second with 11 nominations and 3 wins for Best Female, Best Performance Act (40 Gang together with Crooger), and Best Hip Hop Video (ChiBack her together with Crooger).
Nadia Nakai was Honoured Most influential African Hip Hop Artist and Roki Was Honoured Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Honorary Award will be presented to Roki, while the Most Influential African Female Hip Hop Artist To Be Presented to Nadia Nakai and the Most Influential African Male Hip Hop Artist will be presented to South African Superstar Blxckie.
