US-based Zimbabwe-born comedians Alfred Kainga and Learnmore Jonas will be among the performers to kick off Africa Now! Festival at the Apollo Comedy Club on the 13th of April in Harlem, New York. Alfred Kainga will host the event whilst Learnmore Jonas will perform alongside other African Comedians Quadir Yussuf and Karmen Naidoo.
"Things Dreams are made of. Name in lights at the Apollo. April 13th I’m back at it again." says Alfred Kainga under an Instagram post promoting the event whilst Learnmore Jonas formerly known as Long John simply says "God Did."
For its ninth season, running from 13 - 15 April 2023, Africa Now! Festival spotlights the best cultural innovators and global thinkers from the Continent in a celebration of contemporary musicians, comedians, filmmakers, and cultural innovators on the world-famous Apollo stage.
