The Gray Man action-thriller starring British-Zimbabwean actor Regererai "Regé-Jean" Gamuchirai JA Matongo-Page finally arrived on Netflix yesterday 22 July 2022 following a limited cinema premiere on the 15th of July.
The spy thriller based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Mark Greaney was produced by the Russo brothers' company, AGBO for $200 Million, making it one of Netflix’s most expensive films.
The Gray Man stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Regé-Jean Page, Wagner Moura, Julia Butters, Dhanush, Alfre Woodard, and Billy Bob Thornton
The film is about Ryan Gosling’s brooding Agent Six, who is rehabilitated as a spy to work for an elite unit in tandem with the CIA. Six discovers he might be killing someone innocent during one job, then stops to gather the pieces and manages to uncover the dirty secrets of the top guys.

In The Gray Man, Regé-Jean Page plays the character of the CIA Chief Denny Carmichael who is involved in several covert missions and coverups that impact world politics and is answerable to no one.
Regererai "Rege-Jean" Page was discovered by one of the Russo brothers through Netflix's Bridgerton. "My wife is a huge Bridgerton fan. That's how we discovered him," says Joe Russo in this Insider article. "I saw him on 'Saturday Night Live' and I thought he was charismatic and really, really compelling and fun to watch and so we thought he'd be perfect as a villain," he added.
During a virtual roundtable to promote the film, Regererai said that the homework he did for The Gray Man was more mental than physical. “Yeah, it was a lot of psychological prep for this one. Both Suzanne and Denny are manipulators, so there is a nice balance in the way The Gray Man has been written and presented, between physical action and psychological action. Denny manipulates people into their ‘physical action’ mode, so to speak. We (his and Jessica Henwick’s characters) pretty much send Ryan (Gosling) and Chris (Evans) to kick off each other, while we sit back and watch the chaos unfold. So that was great fun,” the actor concluded.
