Sentosa Mabelreign native Ashe gives us Black King as the first single from his upcoming debut album titled Misunderstood Genius. The track sets the mood as it was heavily influenced by the black lives matter movement.
"Black King reaffirms the position of the black person, it's like we are rewriting the narrative," says Ashe.

The album Misunderstood Genius, set to drop in the last quarter of the year with no set release date, is about correcting false narratives and self-awareness.
"Our story has been told from a white man's perspective but with the song, we are changing the narrative and putting ourselves out there. We are building self-belief." Says the 27-year-old hip hop artist currently running the label College Central Music.
