Zimbabwean Stand Up Comedian Learnmore Mwanyenyeka professionally known as Long John recently won second place at The World Series of Comedy Competition hosted at The Punchline Comedy Club In Atlanta, GA, US on Friday 25, March.
Long John (now performing as Learnmore Jonasi) along with three other finalists will round out the semi-final show tonight at the same venue.

Long John Is currently in the US as one of the four grant recipients of Steel City Arts Foundation, a live/work/play environment for comedians in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He is using this opportunity to perform stand-up in comedy clubs across the USA.
The World Series of Comedy is a stand-up comedy event for comedians of all levels. It starts with weeklong live satellite contests all around the U.S. and Canada and Online Showcases throughout the year, culminating in a comedy festival we call The Main Event, in September. The festival includes 101 qualifying comedians competing in The Main Event and an entire week of comedy seminars and social and networking events for comics, comedy club managers, and bookers from the U.S. and Canada.
