On his new song and accompanying video titled Mastreets, Voltz JT joins hands with his frequent collaborators director Leoy V and producer daBeatBully to give a commentary about the social media streets and the general sentiment in Zimbabwe. With election season upon us, politics has taken center stage on social media, leading to mental health crises within the youth.
On Mastreets, Voltz JT says he has become familiar with the status quo so it doesn't affect him any longer. "These days handichanzwe, you can say whatever you say. I make sure handirare ndaka beeper end of day. Zim unoita hasha ukada kuteerera pain, Zvinhu zvese is down but we act like It's ok." he raps
Mastreets demonstrates Voltz JT's lyrical versatility as the song reflects signs of the times, rather than feel-good party songs we had gotten used to.
Mastreets was produced by Jax daBeatBully, whilst Mr 10Bandz mixed and mastered it. Check out the visuals directed by Leoy V below.
