The actor and film producer Shaun Mundawarara is shining internationally this week as he has been nominated for The Kenya Theatre Awards in the Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Lead Role (Musical) category. The nod comes as recognition for Mundawarara’s performance as the protagonist in the Kenyan musical play, Subira, A New Musical. The musical received great reviews when it premiered and its several other nominations at The Kenya Theatre Awards show how good it is.
Winners are set to be crowned at a ceremony which will be held on February 22 at The Kenya National Theatre.
Shaun Mundawarara is famous for the 2018 production Accidental Small House and he is also the producer of Zimbabwe's first superhero series Captain Mfombi. Voting for The Kenya Theatre Awards is currently on going here.
