Shingai's solo career is the gift that keeps on giving. For her most recent work she collaborated with fellow Zimbabwean Verseless for the House/Amapiano track "No Fear". The song features beautiful melodies and it's proud lyricism not only display Shingai's great vocal ability but rich storytelling. Shingai & Verseless are perfectly matched and it's a surreal meeting of creative minds.
The video for the song also saw an even bigger creative collaboration that was shot by an exclusively Zimbabwean crew and included guests like Tanya Fear. Caligraph.Co created an amazing mural on a bus dedicated to the song and fans have often spotted the bus roaming around. The video was directed by Joe Njagu who perfectly executed the visual storytelling. From the makeup, to costume design and drone footage, "No Fear" is a work of art.
