Tinashe Muchena, 24, the former Headboy of St Georges College, Harare (2016) was recently selected to play professional Rugby for the Houston SaberCats, a team based in Houston, Texas that competes in Major League Rugby, North America's premier professional rugby league. Tinashe Muchena was drafted in the second round, as the number 15 pick, in the 2021 Major League Rugby Draft held on the 19th of August.

Tinashe is the son of 51 year old Willard Muchena, a Rugby veteran who played for Zimbabwean top club, Old Hararians (OH) between 1990 and 2004. Major League Rugby is a professional sports league in its fourth season in 2021 and represents the highest level of rugby competition in North America. The League was founded in 2018 with seven inaugural teams and grew to the current 12 teams, featuring 11 from the United States and one from Canada.
