From about 2001 to 2007 Zimbabwean music was defined by the "Urban Grooves" genre. A genre that paved the way for the sounds of HipHop, RnB and even Alternative music. Principal to Urban Grooves' rise and success was Chamhembe and the artists that comprised of it. Mainly Roki, Stunner, Mafriq, Leonard Mapfumo, Trinity, Tererai Mugwadi and Take 5 among others. Recently The Chamhembe Story was told in a mini series of interviews by same name done by SoProfound.
