Patati Patata, a song by Roki featuring Koffi Olomide and Rayvanny is finally here, with accompanying visuals.
The "Patati Patata" collaboration generated so much hype on social media due to the high profile presence of Congolese Soukus singer, Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba, affectionately known as Koffi Olomidé, who flew into Zimbabwe last month, to record the song and music video with Rockford “Roki” Josphat alongside another regional juggernaut, Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa popularly know as Rayvanny from Tanzania.
Et patati et patata is an informal French exclamation for – and so on and so forth, blah blah, yada yada – a kind of fun way to say that someone is talking a lot. It’s more of an interjection than an idiom, as it comes from patatin, patata, an onomatopoeia of patte (the leg of an animal), imitating the sound of a horse galloping. This is a great way to describe the song which basically does not carry any message in particular, just good vibes.
"Patati Patata" was produced by Oskid and Lizer Classic at Passion Java Records whilst Director Kenny handled the visuals.
