John Falsetto is a London-based composer, actor, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. He's set to star as Mr Snow in Carousel at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre this summer, and is composing and arranging Meet My Ancestors, a theatrical production and album telling stories from Zimbabwean culture through ancient mbira (a traditional instrument) music fused with contemporary sounds.
John has composed music for theatre, including the award-winning The Jungle by Good Chance Theatre and Ben Johnson’s Volpone for Tangle Theatre Company. The multi-faceted artist was signed by Shani Gonzales and Ayla Owen, with a specific focus on Falsetto scoring for Film, TV and Theatre via Warner Chappell’s newly created bespoke score and neoclassical initiative, WCM Neo. 2021 is building up to be a very big year for John Falsetto. In addition to being a Jerwood Arts recipient of the 2021 LIVE WORK FUND AWARD, the artist also recently announced that his project MEET MY ANCESTORS had received funding from the Genesis Foundation. The Mbira music endeavour features one of Zimbabwe's artists of the moment in Probeatz.
