Zimbabwean Android users who have been waiting for Clubhouse will be getting it this week.
The invite-only chatroom platform which has been available on iOS has recently launched on Android, but only in selected regions.
In a tweet, the platform confirms that the app will be available in Japan, Brazil and Russia early this week, followed by Nigeria and India on Friday and the rest of the world by Friday afternoon.
The app was first introduced to iOS in March 2020 and since thrived through the pandemic. Clubhouse has stated it remains invite-only to ensure that their team is able to manage the growth of their user base and continues refining the app to be capable of supporting a larger audience.
Clubhouse is now facing a huge rivalry from Facebook with its latest Instagram Live Rooms and Twitter Spaces – both offering similar and advanced features.
Android rollout continues!
