Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira Has Joined Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports Agency

Zimbabwean-born professional rugby player, Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira has joined Roc Nation Sports Agency founded by Jay-Z in 2013. 

A sports agent is a legal representative for professional sports figures such as athletes and coaches. They procure and negotiate employment and endorsement contracts for the athlete or coach whom they represent. Roc Nation will manage Mtawarira’s brand, commercial entities and philanthropic ventures.

After retiring from all forms of rugby, Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira, is keen to find new opportunities after the Covid-19 pandemic cut short a stint with Old Glory DC in America’s Major League Rugby. He previously played for the South Africa national team and the Sharks in Super Rugby.

Tendai Joins Springboks Siya Kolisi and Cheslin Kolbe as well as England international Maro Itoje in a growing list of rugby talent on Roc Nation’s books. Proteas fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has also signed with the agency.
