Tasi Drops His Latest Single ‘Tinashe’

Tasi

Tasi Born 'Tasimbiswa Darryl Chamboko' is a recording hip hop artist hailing from Harare, Zimbabwe. Growing up in Malbereign, he first came in touch with Hip Hop and RnB through his sisters' collection. His musical journey started at the age of 10 (going by the name "Young D") in the producer McZee's bedroom-turned-studio with the two making music every chance they got. As he started high school, he changed his stage name to "Chronixx". His versatility is heavily influenced by consuming music from artists such as Lil Wayne, Eminem, Wiz Kid, Naeto C and Wiz Khalifa just to name a few.

In 2010, he move to Pretoria (South Africa) to further his studies. Him being in Pretoria presented the chance to discover himself as an artist and in the process grows his craft. The South African Hip Hop scene helped him become less rigid and more enabled to learn his craft. Being in different studios recording with different producers and artists helped his propel and eventually shape his sound. In 2013, Tasi together with producer McZee and Swizzle released a mixtape titled "CNN" which had tracks such as "Dynamite" and other singles which included M.F.O.D (Martian Family or Die), Mak-A-Damian and Sativa. In 2015 following the release of two singles namely "Dab" and "Robin Hood", he changed his stage name from Chronixx to Tasi. The rebrand was due to to the fact that he was writing more about his life and personal experiences.

Fast forward April 2021, Tasi released Tinashe. The track Tinashe is produced by Crae La'Shae and mastered by Rayo Beats. The track was released on the 16th of April 2021. It is a follow up single to Solivagant, a project already released. The song Tinashe explores new musical tastes because Zimbabwe is generally conservative. Tinashe is, also, a new progressive way of expression with a different sound. Tasi delivers an uptempo flow complemented with a mellow auto-tuned chorus on the jam passionately painting a vivid picture of a female character by the name of Tinashe. Do check out Tasi's new single; Tinashe.
