The 63rd Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles and was hosted by South Africa’s very own, Trevor Noah bounding through the hybrid set-up and making fun of the British Royal Family, the people who stormed the Capitol earlier this year and Harry Styles.
“This year’s Grammy’s is going to look a little different, I’m not going to front, the whole thing is going to be pretty different,” he said. “But it’s going to be even more exciting because our nominees will be sitting at those tables for their awards, so right now there’s more tension in that tent than at a family reunion at Buckingham Palace.”
The ceremony had no audience, and performers were separated to maintain social distancing.
Africa was definitely in the house as Burna Boy won the Best Global Music Album category with ‘Twice As Tall’ album. Congratulations poured in from celebrities including Diddy, Dj Khaled and fans alike
This is the second consecutive time Burna Boy has been nominated for the Grammys. His previous album,’African Giant’ was nominated at the 62nd Grammy Awards for ‘Best World Music Album’

Wizkid also won the Best Music Video for his song with Beyoncé; Brown Skin Girl. Anatii who co-wrote the song could also be technically a winner, as the award will be distributed to everyone who is credited on the song and video
