The People’s Choice nominations have been released, and Zimbabwean actress Danai Gurira has received two of the nominations for her role in The Walking Dead TV series. Gurira's character Michonne is a fan-favorite in both the TV show and comic books.
E! Online released the nominations on October 1, and voting was enabled immediately.
Danai Gurira is nominated in two categories, the first being Female TV Star, and she also has some outstanding competition. She is up against Christina Applegate, Dead To Me, Ellen Pompeo, Grey’s Anatomy, Lili Reinhart, Riverdale, Mandy Moore, This Is Us, Mariska Hargitay, Law & Order: SVU, Sandra Oh, Killing Eve and SofÃa Vergara, Modern Family.
The second category for Gurira is Drama TV Star, and she is up against some of the same incredible talent as in the first category and some others added in. This list consists of Gurira along with Cole Sprouse, Riverdale, Chase Stokes, Outer Banks, Ellen Pompeo, Grey’s Anatomy, Mandy Moore, This Is Us, Mariska Hargitay, Law & Order: SVU, Sandra Oh, Killing Eve and Sterling K. Brown, This Is Us.
