Chiwoniso Maraire is widely regarded as one of the most iconic musicians, songwriter, and exponent of Zimbabwean mbira music,and with the news of her tragic death last month, it was only right for fellow Zimbabwean artist Rina Mushonga to pay a musical tribute. Rina Mushonga displays a dynamic range much wider than most of her fellow artists who use just voice and a guitar. Her Music blends folk with rock, blues and reggae while she strives to give the best of what she loves from both her European and Zimbabwean backgrounds, and you can hear it in her music.
