A South African man has been arrested in Zimbabwe on charges of possessing pornographic DVDs. The 21-year-old man from Gauteng is set to appear in court in Bulawayo. State media named the man as Rick André Moolman of Vanderbijlpark. He was arrested at the Joshua Nkomo Airport in Bulawayo. Moolman is reported to be employed as a pipe-fitter at a mine in Shurugwi. He had his bags searched by Zimbabwe Revenue Authority officials, who discovered six DVDs allegedly containing pornographic material. Under Zimbabwean law it is an offence to possess pornography, which may have a wider definition than it does in South Africa.
Moolman will have to respond in court to charges of breaching the Censorship and Entertainment Control Act.
