The vote of confidence in Zimbabwe keeps growing and what a sight it will be at the Harare International Airport in October when Red Rat and a host of other UK-based Zimbabwean Yardies will grace the promised land.
Red Rat is also working with Zimbabwean emerging local forces K-Squad on a song titled Like The Way You Dance which is being produced by none other than Jusa Dementor. According to K-Squad rapper Suave, their collaboration with Red Rat is just the tip of the iceberg and they shall be working with other dancehall figures including Sizzla Kalonji and hopefully King Shango when he visits the country in October.
Jusa Dementor's, African Airhorn Dance’ has been an online smash and has been nominated for several online awards and this is what the Zimbabwean UK-based producer and Artist had to say. Yes, the Air Horn dance has done really well online and on the ground. The track has opened doors for me and the whole Zimbabwean urban music industry. I remember I was driving down to London from Derby (I’m based in Derby) and I received a text message from my friend in South Africa who had just seen the video on MTV Base. That was an awesome feeling. I was also invited to the press launch for the forthcoming Africa Music Awards. I had no idea that I had been nominated, but that too was a great feeling. I am the only representative from Zimbabwe. The awards are on Oct 15th so I’m hoping I can do the country proud.
Jusa Dementor also produced the Red Rat 2010 hit, Rise up Zimbabwe which features himself and Winky D on the remix
